Sixth International Marine Debris Conference

The NOAA Marine Debris Program co-hosted the Sixth International Marine Debris Conference (6IMDC) with United Nations Environment in San Diego, California, USA from March 12-16, 2018. 

Set along the Pacific Ocean and San Diego’s Mission Bay, the 6IMDC brought together the global community working towards a marine debris-free ocean. The conference celebrated and encouraged innovation, collaboration, and action around this far-reaching topic. Marine debris solutions, research, and technological advances were highlighted and discussions focused around strategies to minimize the impacts and occurrence of marine debris.
