The 2021-2026 U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) Marine Debris Action Plan was created to protect the USVI's coasts, people, and wildlife from the impacts of marine debris.  The University of the Virgin Islands, with the support of a NOAA Marine Debris Program grant, led the collaborative effort to develop the plan with the input of over 90 individuals from territorial, regional, and federal organizations. The USVI Marine Debris Action Plan will provide guidance to partners working to address marine debris across the territory by coordinating and prioritizing future marine debris actions that are needed for lasting debris reduction.
