North Carolina Coastal Federation and Fishermen: Crab Pot Project

In January 2014, the N.C. Coastal Federation hired fishermen to search northeastern N.C. waters for abandoned fishing gear. This clean-up was the first of its kind in the state and in just two days, they collected 350 pots. The pots will be used to make an oyster reef later this year.
