In September 2018, a team of scientists and divers led by the NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center conducted a large-scale mission to survey and remove marine debris from the islands and atolls of the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. This presentation will provide an overview of the project’s history, survey and removal methods, recent research, and future missions.
